World Savings Day

The ‘World Savings Day’ is dedicated to promote the virtue of people saving money. The day is usually the October 31st, except countries where this day is a public holiday. This occasion was the first initiative of World Savings and Retail Banking Institute [WSBI], which represents the interests of savings and retail banks, in 80 countries. In this year, World Savings Day places focus on the stabilizing role, played by savings and retail banking, in the overall financial system.
