Mehreen was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She sings Bangla jazz-fusion-pop. Mehreen began her career in 1994, and her debut album Anari was released in 2000. In 2012 she judged the Bangladeshi Idol. In 2008 she was a judge from Bangladesh at “The Band Wagon”, band hunt reality show in Kolkata, with Grammy winner A.R. Rahman. She profusely sang for the Cricket and football of Bangladesh to top is a song, Bangladesh National Cricket Team during 2011 Cricket World Cup titled “Cup Kintu Ektai“. She completed her masters in English Literature from the University of Dhaka.
